Dashing Botanicals all started when my sister, Brandi, gave me a handful of Alocasia and Monstera plants as a gift. At the time I only had a Snake plant, a Alocasia Bambino from Target, and a Boston Fern. I never knew that the Plant Community was so large and welcoming.

After caring for these new plants I inherited from my sister, I began looking into collectible rare Alocasia’s. She helped me find a gorgeous Alocasia Frydek and from there, I couldn’t help but get more and more. I especially grew an interest in variegated plants. After painfully learning the process of how to take care of these plants, I learned how to grow them on my own. I was so excited when my first few corms sprouted. I saw how popular they were, and maybe I could make some spare money for bills. I started selling on the app Palmstreet, and it took off. Now, I decided I should really take advantage of this opportunity to get deeper into the community.

I absolutely adore growing these babies and having people love them as much as I do. The name Dashing actually comes from my 3 year old Labrador Retriever, Dashing Garnet. He is the inspiration of my life, and because of him, I stay motivated to keep going! (no kids or husband, boyfriend though!) I am so proud to share my babies with you all.

Other than plants, I work at a Collision Automotive Technology Center in MN. I’ve been with the company for 3 years! I’m also a Subaru enthusiast, and I own 2 Subaru WRX’s. I’ve worked for two successful Subaru companies in the past, and I’m a known part of the community as well!
